Family Caregiver Expo - Washington, D.C. July 29th-30th, 2006

The promotional campaign for the 2006 Family Health & Caregiver Expo kicked-off in March 2006 on ABC 7 and sister station Newschannel 8 with a series of informative 30-second vignettes on care giving, featuring the face of the 2006 Expo, Pharmacist Mary Ann Wagner.

The "Helpful Pharmacist" vignettes touch on a variety subjects related to care giving as noted below, and they remind the public to save the dates of July 29th & 30th for the second annual Family Health & Caregiver Expo.

  • The important role of the pharmacist and the pharmacy
  • The many contributions made by the pharmaceutical industry toward improving peoples' lives
  • Financial issues related to caregiving
  • Advances in medical services & devices
  • The essential role hospitals play in health and longer living

General Event promotional announcements

In addition to the "Helpful Pharmacist" campaign, ABC 7 and Newscahnnel 8 will also air an extensive "General Event" campaign during the six weeks leading-up to the Expo. These 15 and 30-second announcements will inform the public of the Expo's main attractions, including celebrity appearances, contests and special exhibitors.

Helpful Pharmacist and General Event promotional announcements will run in ABC 7's top local, network and syndicated programming, including:

On an on-going basis, the Health & Family Caregiver Expo is prominently featured on the NACDS website as well as on wjla.com and news8.net with detail pages containing all pertinent information about the event. The Event's official website, www.familycaregiverexpo.com, is also available at all times and will be linked from all partner websites.

All exhibitors and educational speakers for the 2006 Expo will be listed on all three websites. Depending on the level of sponsorship, enhanced logo display and informational paragraphs are also available.
