Speaker: Michelle Katz, M.S.N.

A healthcare consultant and international medical reporter, Michelle Katz, M.S.N., is the host of Today's Health and has appeared on many healthcare radio and television shows across the country, including Voice of America where she was nominated for a piece she produced on the psychological and physiological effects on orphans of parents with AIDS in Africa. A past senior healthcare consultant at Arthur Andersen and now founder and President of HCStrategies, Michelle has consulted on many healthcare issues from quality assurance to billing and procedural coding. More recently, she was involved in the development of congressional healthcare legislation. She received her master's degree in nursing from Georgetown University after recovering from a severe car accident when she did not have health insurance and navigating her way through the healthcare system -- with minimal bills in the end. She currently lives in Washington, DC and gives lectures on saving money in healthcare and educates others on Medicare and other aspects of healthcare.


The Alexandria Singers

Rob earned his Pharm.D. degree in 1996 from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio where he focused primarily on clinical oncology care. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2001 from The University of Texas at Austin with his research focused on utility analyses in metastatic breast cancer patients.

Speaker: Rick “Doc” Walker

Rick "Doc" Walker, a veteran of nine NFL seasons, distinguished himself on the football field with his blocking and timely pass catching. "Doc" was a starting tight end for Coach Joe Gibbs' 1982 World Champion Washington Redskins. He developed the concept of the Skins' "Fun Bunch" and was an original member of the famed offensive linemen known as the "HOGS." Playing for coach Dick Vermeil's UCLA Bruins, Rick received Lineman of the Year honors in 1977 and became a Rose Bowl champion. Also that year, the Associated Press (AP) selected Rick as an All American.

As a broadcaster, Rick currently delivers color commentary for the NFL on CBS-Westwood One Radio. He also serves as color analyst for the ACC College Football Game of the Week aired on Jefferson Pilot Sports.  He also co-host the John Thompson Show on Sports Talk 980 WTEM (Washington, D.C.) weekdays from 3 to 5 PM and is the host of Doc Walker's Proview on NEWSCHANNEL 8.
